Hi,
I found this website a couple weeks ago and finally decided to join. I just graduated from school and have always wanted to ride motorcycles. The only problem was that I played sports and wasn’t allowed to ride them. I had intentions of playing professionally, but unfortunately blew out my shoulder this year. On the upside, I can start doing some fun things. I’ve been researching motorcycles, gear, etc. and have decided that I’m going to start buying gear so I can take a MSF course. I’ll be posting a lot of questions in the future and look forward to gaining loads of knowledge from this site.
Thanks.

I am sure age had a little to do with that as far as decisions go but heck I was still pretty independent starting at about 15.
Looking forward to hearing about your new adventures in riding.July 6, 2009 at 8:09 am #20420zeppelinfromledParticipantWelcome to the forum. One suggestion (some others here will disagree with me) is to hold off on buying gear until after the MSF course. The course should provide helmets and you probably have everything else you need for the type of riding that’s done in the course. This is just in case it turns out that you don’t like riding as much as you thought you would, you won’t have wasted several hundred dollars. Let us know how your course goes.
